My path to physical therapy wasn't traditional. I started as a strength & conditioning coach — first as an Associate and then Assistant S&C Coach at Cleveland State University for over four years, then as Director of Strength & Conditioning at Lawrence Technological University. Along the way, I earned my Master's in Kinesiology & Exercise Science from Wayne State University and served as a Journal Editor for the International Journal of Health, Nutrition & Exercise Science.
But I kept seeing the same problem: athletes would get cleared by their PT and come back to me in the weight room still moving poorly. That gap between clinical rehab and real-world performance drove me to earn my Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Western Michigan University. Now, as a Physical Therapist at Expert Physical Therapy Inc. in West Bloomfield Township, I combine my S&C background with clinical expertise to deliver care that doesn't just heal — it builds athletes back stronger than before.

"Dr. Peres isn't your typical PT — you can tell he's coached athletes at a high level. He doesn't just stretch you out and send you home. He builds a real program. My knee feels better than it did before surgery."
"Having a PT who actually understands periodization and sports biomechanics is a game-changer. Dr. Peres got my son back on the field faster and stronger. The S&C background makes all the difference."
"I've been to several PTs in the Bloomfield area. Dr. Peres is the first one who treated the root cause, not just the symptoms. His approach is scientific, thorough, and he genuinely cares about getting you back to 100%."
